Learn a blissful moving-meditation at Hyperslow’s Hula-Hoop Workshop with Samantha.
This workshop is intended for beginners—so if you haven’t hula-hooped since you were a kid, or if you couldn’t even do it then—this one is for you! Take this opportunity to practice a new art in a safe space as we laugh at our wobbly first steps and bask in the glory of our successes.
In this 2-hour workshop, you will prepare your body with gentle stretching, move into the basics of hula-hooping, practice tricks and illusions, free flow, and wind down. You will walk out knowing how to hula-hoop on your body, create optical illusions with the hoop, and meditate inside of your spinning sacred circle.
If you have a hoop you would like to bring, please do. Otherwise, hoops will be provided for the class and are available for sale. If you plan to borrow a hoop, please email Samantha at firstname.lastname@example.org with your height, waist size, and experience with hula hoops so she can bring the best hoop selection for you.
Teacher Bio: Samantha Schwartz has been hula-hoopng since 2012 when she learned the hoop could fulfill both her desire to practice self-expression and need to exercise her body. Samantha started practicing yoga in 2014 and believes it has helped strengthen her hooping skills. Samantha loves to share the hoop and is thrilled to welcome you to the circle.
